  8. Compact Pro Package
  9.         Compact Pro is a shareware file compression and archival utility.
  10.         It compresses and stores files in "archives" which may span multiple
  11.         diskettes. Compact Pro supports data encryption (US and Canadian
  12.         users only) and self-extracting archives. Version 1.51 is a "fat"
  13.         binary, so it will run in native mode on Power Macs as well as on
  14.         standard Macs.

  18.         CRLF is a drag & drop application which performs 
  19.         the conversion of CR(Mac), LF(Unix) and CRLF(PC) files. It 
  20.         auto-detects the end of line code of the file which was

  22.         have set up the preferences, you will rarely need to make 
  23.         any changes to CRLF later.

  68.         to the Mac, you might need this. Macintosh uses Shift JIS for its Japanese         
  69.         character code. On UNIX machines checked, EUC or JIS code is often used. When         
  70.         you download a Japanese text file, e.g., e-mail, manual, etc. from a UNIX machine, 
  71.         you can't read it on the Mac because of the code difference. Here is how you can  
  72.         solve this problem. Just drag text files to the Unix2Mac icon. A code exchanged 
  73.         file appears in the same folder.
